The opening ceremony of the 2018 China Skills Competition and the 45th World Skills Competition National Selection Competition was held on June 12th at the Hong Kong Pavilion of the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. Nearly 900 candidates from 46 national teams participated in the trials. As Chongqing Municipal Training Base for beauty event of the competition, two of the candidates trained and selected by CMCC, Li Zhenqin and Liu Jiajia, won the championship and the runner-up. Their scores were much higher than those of other provinces and cities.

Liu Jiajia, a student of Image Design major of the School of Cultural Industry Management, won the second place in the national beauty event competition and successfully entered the national team.
