On October 14th, the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Project Conference of Chongqing Vocational Education was held in CCMC. The purpose of this conference is to build a platform for exchange and sharing, introduce foreign superior resources, promote Sino-foreign cooperation and improve the quality and level of running schools.
Deng Rui, Duty Director of the Municipal Education Commission, attended the conference. Tony Watt, Deputy Consul General of Australia in Chengdu, representatives of the Cultural and Educational Department of the British Consulate General in Chongqing, 23 educational institutions, more than 160 people attended the conference.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Ren Bo, Secretary of the CCMC Party Committee, President of CCMC, Xie Yongchuan addressed the conference.
Deputy director Deng Rui pointed out that in September 2018, President Xi Jinping stressed at the National Education Conference that "we should expand the opening of education and develop high-level cooperation with world-class resources in running schools."
At the stage of thematic exchange, Professor Wu ,Vice Director Fan Dayue of Shenzhen Polytechnic, Director of International Department of Jiangsu Polytechnic of Economics and Trade, Vice President Wu Huiqing and Vice President Ren Junqing of Ningbo Vocational and Technical College, delivered keynote speeches respectively.
During the expert question-answering stage, the participants consulted on the enrollment of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools, the mode of cooperation and the construction of teaching staff. Experts provide "tips" for the problems.
In the afternoon, Sino-foreign joint venture project docking talks continued. At the end of the negotiation, 6 Chongqing vocational colleges signed the Sister College Agreements with 6 Australian Colleges, the other vocational colleges in Chongqing signed 13 cooperation agreements with Britain, Canada, Singapore, the U.S , Korea, Thailand and Indonesia etc.
CCMC achieved fruitful results in this conference, they reached 7 cooperation agreements finally.
